I am hunting for a ASUS Motherboard at around $500 or less with as many new features as possible. Looking at Maximus 6 Extreme & Rampage 4 - Leaning toward the Maximus 6 because of faster WiFi & USB. Is there anyone out there that likes the 6 or would you pick one of the other ASUS boards? Why? Better?

Solution

Depends on the processor you are looking to use. The Maximus 6 uses Socket 1150 and the Rampage 4 uses Socket 2011.

I ended up purchasing the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD7 TH computer motherboard. I looked at quite a few & was simply impressed by the Gigabyte Board features like removable WiFi board for future upgrades. Love the USB 3+ Transfer speeds and Thunderbolt ports. I liked the HDMI ports too but do plan on equipping a Very Nice gaming Video Card. The Only drawback that I wasn't too happy with is price. At $430 right now, that's a little rough on the wallet. I still think you should look at this Motherboard. It has a lot to offer.
