Magic smoke escaped. Still working?

So after putting my new pc together everything looked fine and then i made a dumb mistake. I plugged in the front panel power to the Chassis fan. There was a puff of smoke and i immediately shut it off. Everything is now working perfectly fine and the pc is running like a champ! Should I be worried? or is it possible that only the chassis fan header was damaged? I haven't tried to use it.

I'm not trying to be rude, I swear, but why do people ask these questions? Is it possible? Sure, anything is possible. Do we know for sure? Of course not, we don't have the computer in front of us. You on the other hand, do! You said you didn't even try it. What exactly is the thought process here? You have the computer in front of you, why not, instead of going on a forum and asking people to speculate on whether or not your fan header still works, why don't you just plug in a fan and find out for sure?
