Look, if you're buying the Lapop for gaming, both cards aren't good for it.

However, in comparison HD8670M is quite better than GT720M.

Graphics - the memory AMOUNT doesn't mean anything

whats the actual GPU brand/series/model

ASUS and Dell make great units

Get something with Windows regardless if you want Ubuntu - keep your options open, plus its cheaper when Windows comes with the unit then purchasing it after, and resale value will be higher etc
