What is amp requirement of gtx 660 zotac edition on +12v rail

24A including your other system components

These requirements are generally slightly overstated and you can get away with slightly less (even 20A or so as long as it's a decent quality unit), it'd just be less safe

It doesn't use that much, even with a full system

http://techreport.com/r.x/radeon-r9-290/power-load.gif

It uses a single 6 pin PCI-E power connector so in the worst case scenario 150W is the maximum the card will be given

Even so, we'd always recommend getting a decent PSU so you'd have more headroom for future upgrades

But on many utube videos, people can run a 7970 on a c2d and they can play bf4 and crysis 3 at great fps. This means my c2d will not bottleneck the gpu greatly.I will be fine with it ,I suppose.
by how much %,7850 or 660 gtx will be overclocked?

That's a bottleneck of epic proportions lol, that's like limiting the 7970 to less than half of it's potential

That person would probably be saving up towards a CPU and mobo upgrade too, it would be a waste of money if you don't have that planned for the near future

I understand. But 7970 is too much costlier than gtx 660,so in case of 7970 ,the bottleneck would be too much greater than gtx 660.Do you think that my cpu will also limit gtx 660 potentials to half?
You r much on the side of the gtx 650 ti.Will a 650 ti boost edition of asus be good ?
I mean this one:
http://www.flipkart.com/asus-nvidia-geforce-gtx-650-ti-boost-2gb-ddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdknq3j6hmnrau?pid=GRCDKNQF3FNYZVRH&otracker=from-search&srno=t_1&query=asus+nvidia+geforce+gtx+650+ti+boost&ref=eca006e8-e5c0-4154-97b3-61f88cc65bcd
Also, will bottlenecking damage my gpu or other parts?

U mentioned about 650 ti.We know that gtx 660 is far better than gtx 650 ti,so if bottle necking does not cause any harm and if gtx 660 gets bottleneck by my cpu,a that stage also, I think that 660 will give me same fps as that of a n unbottlenecked 650 ti(boost or whatever). So,is it a good idea to stick with gtx 660 and then to buy a good cpu after some time,so to make a gaming rig.Because neither 660 nor 650 comes for a few bucks.
And,what do u think about 7850hd?

Actually,I worry whether a 650 ti boost can give a good performance in games which are coming now and which will come after 2 or 3 yrs.I don't want to upgrade my gpu always.R us sure that 650 ti boost will not bottlenecked by my cpu and it will give me good fps for future games because i just found a video on utube in which a crd cpu, 4gb ram and gtx 660 oc gave just 15-30 fps on ultra settings.
Pls help me.I am totally confused .I want to buy a card of low price but very good performance so that it can give me nice fps in recent and most upcoming games.

The 650 Ti Boost will be bottlenecked by your C2D, it should run games just fine at your resolution though, ultra settings maybe (depending on game)

You'd definitely want to save up for a CPU, mobo and 8GB of DDR3 memory, your current config won't last you very long
