Battlefield 4 lag in GTX 650 1 GB Graphic card

Hi I just wanted to know why I am not able to run Battlefield 4 smoothly on my pc. I have Zotac GTX 650 1 GB graphic card along with AMD FX6100 processor with 8gb RAM. The game should run fine based on recommended and minimum recommendations on 1920x1080 resolution but it doesn't become better in any setting.

Now I have bought MSI GTX 760 2 GB Graphic card and want to know whether now my game experience will improve or I just wasted my money on graphic card and it is just a damm broken game issue?

It is a lot stronger card and you should see improvement. GTX650 really can not handle the game at 1080P

I believe the recommended gpu is GTX 660 if you can sell your current and pick up a 660 Ti or a 700 series I would you will see a massive improvment. or you can just lower your settings....but whats the fun in that.

GTX 760 is 2.62x faster than GTX 650 . GTX 760 is an awesome video card

Yes, a GTX 760 is a good card if you're on a budget.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Now I am hopeful about my new buy. It was a big purchase based on my budget but for a game lover this is fine.
