ok so i got a laptop what only boots into bios (windows corrupted or smth) and when i want to install a new windows 7 ulti 32bit (64bit not possible for it) then in the installation it says "no drive found" in the "custom". the laptop is missing a dvd drive so im using a USB for it. i have changed the SATA port to AHCI form IDE multiple times from bios.
In the bios there is only
main- only things i can change is the date and time
advanced- start easy flash, cpu configuration, IDE configuration, onboard devices configuration
boot-full screen logo only (was disabled so i left it like that)
security- administrator password, user password
exit

Solution
1.Open your computer's CD or DVD drive. Place the installation disc for the operating system into the drive; if you don't plan on placing an operating system on the computer at this time, place a disc containing a partition manager into the drive instead. Close the drive door.

2.Reboot the computer. When the computer's BIOS loads, press the hotkey to activate the boot manager, generally "Esc," though occasionally other keys such as Tab or F8. The hotkey should be listed on the BIOS screen. When the boot manager loads, select the drive that you placed the OS installation disc or partition manager disc in and press "Enter."

3.Wait for the OS installer or partition manager to load. Once loaded, select the "Format" option when prompted...

Okay so what I believe your issue is is that your hard drive is not correctly formatted. Before I help you reformat it, check and see if you can find it in bios. Also, a problem that I recently experienced was that I had the hard drive as the second boot option and windows will only install on the first boot option.

I don't think your bios will reformat the hard drive, You may have to format the drive from another computer. Also you could try installing linux(Ubuntu) or something to see if that works first. There's a chance your hard drive failed.

You don't reformat the hard drive in bios. :p What you have to do is look under storage options and then see if the hard drive is listed. THEN if it is we go into the windows installation and reformat it via command line. Sorry for the confusion!

Click the "OK" button to begin formatting; the formatting process may take 30 minutes or longer, depending on the size of the drive that you are formatting.

4.Once the format is complete, you may continue with the installation of the operating system if you are using an OS installation disc. If you are not using an OS installation disc or do not wish to install an operating system at this time, simply exit the program that was used to format the hard drive and shut down the computer.
