My specs are :-
AMD 955BE stock cooler
gigabyte GA-880GM-USB3
1333Mhz ram 1X4GB
CoolerMaster 500W PSU
GTX660(planning to buy)

I want to Overclock my CPU. So before that I run cinebench, then i found my CPU running at 80°C at 100%load and 45°C at 3-10%load (idle).
Is this normal for my CPU? Can i overclock? Any tips please?
P.S- i cannot afford a liquid cooling now.

stock coolers are crap, AMD chips tend to get hot. While intel chips run cooler, i cant recommend to OC them either on stock coolers. For OC, you need a custom cooler, you cant go much wrong with a Hyper 212 Evo

Okay, so to be honest I would not OC it. 80 degrees is where I tell people to not oc higher. If you really want to over clock i would recommend that you look into buying a cheaper air cooling unit of a h100i. I would recommend the h100i because I have heard it is a great unit from every single person I have talked to. It is $110 so it is expensive but not near a custom loop. At your current temps i would recommend not over clocking.

Those temperatures are normal for your CPU.

The stock coolers are notoriously bad from both AMD and Intel, usually only good enough to run regular workloads.
Here is a good guide on how to safely manually set the voltages on your motherboard at their lowest settings in order to keep the lowest possible temperatures.

In conjunction with lowering the CPU voltage, a better CPU cooler down the road would be recommended. The CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo is pretty much the best performing mainstream cooler out there at a good price.

Ok so liquid cooling wont be your best option. Your temps seem high, but not too high for AMD fireballs cpus. SO, first i suggest taht you clean the heck out of your pc, make sure it is dust free and try again. If the temps dont drop drastically, then i would seriously suggest an aftermarket cooler if you plan on overclocking. A great cooler for this would be a cooler master hyper 212 evo. That cooler should allow you a little overclocking room at the price of one 25 bucks. Also an important questions to consider is what pc case do you have and what is the air flow design like in it? If you can tell us that we can tell you more about the issue in most circumstances.

Airflow? I never actually cared about it. My cabinet is normal frontech cheap cabinet. Is cabinet too play a role in it? :o

The better airflow in the case to get the hot air out and fresh air in will make it easier for the CPU cooler to work better.

Try running the stress test with the side of your case removed. If the temperatures are a lot better, then the case is on of the causes of the high temps.

yea it would be Smart way to check.
cooler master hyper 212 EVO is not liquid cooling. How effective will it be?

The size of the case isn't what matters as much as how good the airflow is.

The hyper 212 Evo is a very effective and quiet cooler. Here's a graph on an older i7 which is roughly the same power usage as your 955.

Also, another large collection of coolers compared to a stock (intel -- similar stock cooler) heatsink.
