By TV box do you mean antenna, cable TV, satellite etc? Usually you'll need a coax cable to connect to your display from any of those setups, and if your display either doesn't have a coax out and/or doesn't have a TV tuner built in, you'll need to use something like this: www.ambery.com/anvitodvcowi.html to convert the signal from the coax into one that would go through a DVI or HDMI cable, which would then be connected to your display(if you only have VGA, you'd need one that's compatible with VGA)
