whats the best way to match graphics card to motherboard

You can put a GTX 780 Ti in that motherboard and pair it with an i5 4670k. Even in SLI the cpu can still keep up. I have this setup and its overkill on 1080p.

A GT610 is not really a gaming card.
A stronger $250 card like a R9-270X or GTX660 would be appropriate for gaming.
You could use a cheaper B75 based motherboard with a i3-4130.
If you might ever switch to a i5-4670K, then stick with the Z87 motherboard.
