1 bottom front intake
2 top exhaust
1 top back intake
I could also put one at the bottom
The fans are 120mm and I have a thermal take v3 black edition

also, most people say use the top as exhasut as heat rises.. but i've found that if its a smaller case the downward flow will blow onto the cpu cooler and surrounding areas.. plus it would only help with the positive inside pressure.. thats truly up to you. you could even have the rear fan blowing cold air over the cpu cooler and have the top two as the only exhaust...

you want more air coming in than going out.. that will create a highpressure zone inside the pc. It will force air out of hte cracks instead of in.. blowing dust out. so find out the cfm for your fans.. or simply put more input fans than exhaust.

As tc983x said, you need to have more intakes than exhausts in order to have positive pressure inside your case. Any fans will do but if you really care, be sure to have fans with good static pressure in front of the case and fans with more CFM on the back and top of the case.

Corsair SP and AF series fans are really great. Go check these out !
