For example: Top maxwel gpu will cost 700-800$
Good high-end GPU which can run games @ ultra @ 1080p @ 50-60+ FPS costs 375-400$

What is more rational: get Maxwell top GPU for 4-6 years or upgrade system with high-end GPU's every 2-3 years?

Upgrade to mid-high GPU every 2 years I would say as they still have a good resale on the used market. You will lose a lot of money on the super high end.

Hey
Wait for MAXWELL, then the 7xx price will dropp :)  because of new technology and get 780 :)

Example* = when 780 ti came, 7xx series price dropped

But i don't think that 780 Ti's price will drop from 850$ to 375$ (7970). :)

Will be quite a while before the high end maxwell GPUs come out. The first maxwell will be soon, but thats just the 750ti which will replace the 650 Ti boost.
