Greetings.
Please help, I have searched everywhere for this and i have noticed quite a few similar posts but nothing exact to my issue.. My issue is that I have recently acquired an ATI Radeon 5770 Which has HDMI and TWO DVI-I outputs and realized that my monitor is VGA only.. I do have a DVI-I to VGA adapter but it is not working, to add to my frustration it works fine in my ancient 7600GT.
I am now wondering if it is something to do with the 5770 having 2 DVI-I outputs. Another thing i noticed is the PCI-E cable, upon closer inspection has PCI E3 printed on it.. I'm worried that i may have fried the card? :/ .. I'm hoping someone can shed a bit of light on this for me and i pray I ain't fried the card.. There has been no smoke or burning smells and the computer and peripherals seem to still function fine with the 5770 inserted.
