What PC Part has the SATA DATA cable so I can install my DVD disc drive?

My PSU had the SATA power, and I thought it would have the SATA data as well, but it does not. The other SATA cables that the PSU came with do not fit into the SATA DATA port on the DVD disc drive.

Another question, does the SATA DATA connect from the DVD drive to the mobo, or from the DVD drive to the PSU like the SATA POWER?

Your mobo is what comes with the Sata cables unless you buy a retail HD and not a OEM bare drive which most people buy. All Data cables from HardDrives and DVDDrives go to the Mobo and all Power cables go from there drives to the Power Supply.

The SATA data cable for the optical drive is connected to the motherboard, just like the hard drives

Its a DATA cable. Not a POWER cable! Don't even try to do that.

Usually the motherboard comes with the DATA cable or Boxed hard drives and DVD drives do as well. They plug into the motherboard

They can be any color. Some times even facing to the side of the motherboard and not straight up. Doesn't matter which one you plug it into

look in your motherboard box it should have come with 2 or 4 sata cables that will go from the dvd drive to the motherboard.

They're the same cable, A SATA data cable moves data at SATA speeds, regardless of where that data comes from, either an optical drive or a hard drive.

Only difference in SATA Cables are SATA I, II, and III which are the different speeds both the MoBo and the HD or DVD/Burner/BluRay drive supports. Of course if your MoBo only supports SATA II then that means that's the max your MoBo can handle and anything higher then that won't give you any benefit unless you upgrade your MoBo.
