Hi I'm building some litecoin mining rigs!
I have:
6x r9 290 gpu
6x 7950 gpu
1x 1200w cooler master gold psu
1x 1000w cooler master gold psu

At this time I have:
1200w with 3 r9 290
1000w with 3 r9 290

So, I want to know what would be the best way to power all the gpus in a 3-per-mother or 4-per-mother setup.
I can't find good brands for gold or platinum certs over 1000w here at south america but i do have some bronze 80plus or mono rail available.

SeaSonic Platinum-1000 80 PLUS PLATINUM (the only 1kw available) - 3299$
Thermaltake Smart M 850W Bronze 80plus - $2050
Seasonic Bronze 80plus M12ii-650 - $1700
Sentey Extreme Rock Power erp750-sp - $1269
Sentey Extreme Rock Power erp650-sp - $1055
Prices in AR$ only for comparison between each psu... (this is where dual psu comes in)

As you see they don't have anything over 1kw, and i was thinking about going dual PSU.
What would be your recommendations?

Don't worry about motherboards and cpu/ram I've got plenty of them. Each motherboard can support 4 gpus I've tested it.

I'm going to be the downer here but you are going to spend more on those rigs and power then you will ever make mining lol.

Also there are much cheaper ways to get litecoins faster please google some current rigs before you do this.

well 3 of those r9 290s use about get a: http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine
Minimum PSU Wattage: 733 W
Recommended: 783 W
dunno your exact setup, but i imagine you can get by with some 800-900 W PSUs just fine. Since you have 6, you definitely need 2 PSUs, and from what i've read up on about bitcoin mining, you dont really need a powerful CPU or RAM, just enough to hold the string files, so any trusted brand (corsair(usually), thermaltake, OCZ) you can get in your country should do you good.

And from what i've read GPU mining is dead compared to ASICs chip mining.

Just reserve 100w for cpu and system.
Will any of the ones I listed be OK?

Hmm, only problem i'm starting to see is any PSU under 1000Ws likely doesnt have all the connections you need to support 3 of those monster cards in each system. Those Seasonic ones seems pretty good, even though Seasonic doesnt have the best reputation, their upper tier stuff might be okay.

290s have 1 x6 and 1 x8 pin connectors but come with molex adapters, so i think that a dual erp750-sp should be able to connect 4 gpus
http://www.sentey.com/en/erp-750-watts

dual >78% 750w (not even bronze) =1500w for $2550
VS
single >90% platinum 1000w for $3299

What do you think?
