Hey again.
Im planning on upgrading these parts soon. I'll be upgrading from an AM2 slot dinosaur to an FM2 slot to boost performance, which means upgrading my motherboard and memory. I know how to install them physically, but I was looking for assistance on the software side of things.
When you install a new motherboard, do you need to configure anything? I understand that the motherboard controls the boot up, or does the processor?

In short, is there anything I need to be concerned with other than installing the new parts and going?
Thanks.

You will basically have to install the new drivers and hope that your windows will boot on the new motherboard, else you will have to clean install. If you have windows 7 it should boot up with the new board and you will have to re activate it
