RAM Issue with new added RAM

So guys I was planning on adding to my RAM (2x 4GB Kingston DDR3-1600 CL11) 2x 4gb Kingston DDR3-1333Mhz CL9 (a friend of mine did'nt have any use for them, so he gave them to me) - I read this would work, but wanted to know what your opinion would be. I already tried to put in the new RAM, but it got me a black screen and Windows wouldn't boot, after I took out the new Ram everything was fine again. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. If you need my Mobo: MSI Z87-G43, Intel Z87, So. 1150.

Are they the same voltage on both sets?

I would say go to the bios set your speed to 1333 and then throw the other sticks in

They're both 1,5 Volt, where do I change the Speed in Bios?

Just install them and boot, if it works as is they will default to the mobos default - prob 1333, and check the timings, will want 9-9-9-24 if possible, if not try 10-10-10-27

Well, I couldn't boot when I put the 1333 mhz in, I got a black screen. Maybe I should try changing the timings? In BIOS right?

Did you try with just the 1333 stick?

I changed it to 1333mhz in BIOS and now everything works!
