Minecraft making my CPU usage go to 99%?

I recently have been playing Minecraft with a friend. I got on this morning and there was a Java update so I did the update. I ran minecraft and it said it recommends 64bit Java so I downloaded it. Now when I run minecraft it says I run 99% CPU usage and it stutters like crazy. I run about 200 fps in game while it is stuttering.

I have i5-4670k and EVGA nvidia GTX 760

just downgrade to 32 java try closing any background apps try game booster and rdcing draw distance if you get it workin just join my server though will work on cracked games and legal games 192.168.31.59

more cpu usage is better but stuttering is sometimes a problem in minecraft because of rendering stuff far away but it is some kind of problem because you have a strong cpu and gpu do you run any background programs? disable in msconfig all services and tasks and restart your pc, so it doesnt run so many services

Is your system 32 or 64 bit? it seems like downloading the 64 bit java update changed the threading of minecraft.Try to uninstall java and install 32 bit and see if that helps.
