Wouldn't be very good at gaming, a better choice would be this: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/...

The specs are fine for office work, but no gaming unless its browser games or from 2008.

well, i'm not asking for a flat-out gaming rig, but something that can run things like NFS World, TF2, L4D2 and Maplestory well. But I take what you said on hand and will search for another.

If the price has to remain close to what the other was then an A10 APU is probably your best choice http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/...

This is very likely the best "gaming" laptop you can buy at a low price. I am not familiar with UK prices.

The A10-5750m basically has the most powerful integrated graphics core for laptops. "Most powerful" is a relative term though since it is weaker than some lower end dedicated graphics card. But it is certainly more powerful than the Intel HD graphics core in the Lenovo G500 laptop.
