CAN MY motherboard from dell i have a dell computer which has a motherboard for a amd x2 processor and i want to get a new motherboard since this one no longer works and get one that can perhaps fit for that one but i would need a new i/o shield right? and case perhaps not? or i might need a new case since the power buttons will most likely be different

Solution
If it's from dell, its quite likely you CANT get a new motherboard that dell didnt sell you. Dell is a bit of a jerk company and makes their own hardware that only matches their own form factors, so you HAVE to buy from them if you want parts for it. if you just want a new motherboard of the same model it's likely you can buy one, just look up the model number of the motherboard on the motherboard and then you can probably find one online.
