How many times can you flash graphic card bios (vbios)?

Can you flash it as many times as motherboard bios? How do i know something went wrong while flashing?

Another question: I am going to update a vbios via command prompt. Nothing bad will happen If I accidentally type something before I hit enter, right? I mean like when typing location of the update and accidentally typing cd C:\users instead of correct location. I can correct it before hitting enter and I don't have to restart the computer and type it without accident, right?

Hi,

1- you can flash the bios unlimitted times but 1 bad flash will make the mobo malfunction or won't post anymore. If everything works fine, don't flash it.

2- If the command is wrong, you will get a error message : command not recognize, file not found.
Also if you try to flash, example a .doc file to bios, it will give you an error message.

But if you try to update bios with the wrong bios version, it might flash and won't post afterwards.

I'm not sure, but I think your card is basically screwed if you incorrectly flash the bios. If you have two on your card, there isn't much danger because you have a "backup" BIOS that let's flash the BIOS back to it's original or let retry the new one.

Thank you very much!!! I am now clear with vbios flash. i wanted to flash it because i thought it would increase my videogame performance. About questins two: After I get an error message, do I have to reboot the computer and try it again or I can continue normally and type the right command?
