I have an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 mother board and when the first time I booted up guess what? No signal! Yay. So then I realized I have no mobo speaker so I get one to pinpoint the problem. Guess what? No beeps! Even better. Then I tried bread boarding it but 3 screws got stuck I got 2 screws out but made a scratch. I don't know the severity of the scratch since I still haven't gotten the mobo out, but as of yet see no wires or copper in the scratch. I am now stuck on the 3rd screw that got stripped and in useless efforts have made more smaller scratches (1mm if not smaller) near that screw. The screw is stuck, my mobo maybe busted or damaged idk, and I believe I just wasted $900.

My specs

M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard

FX-6300 6 core CPU

random ddr3 ram I got from staples also my optical drive

MSI GTX 770 2gb video card

Antec 620 watt bronze certified power supply

Antec one case

I really feel like burning everything I have in a pit right now...

Have you tried gently pushing the screw into its original position and then try to carefully get it out again. When you get the motherboard out look at the scratches and see if any metal part of the motherboard is scratched. If not then it is likely that the material that houses all the bits and bobs of the motherboard has been scratched meaning nothing important has been damaged

Try using different screw drivers. If your MB screws are like every one I've seen they are Phillips head or cross point as some call them. Stripping the heads usually results from using the wrong size screw driver so try something different including a flat screw driver. If you think your manual dexterity is up to it you could try grinding a slot in the screw with a hand grinder.

Tried everything in that checklist, well I'm kinda in the middle of bread boarding it or testing outside the case since my mobo is stuck in the case, however I did try the take out memory and GPU yet no beeps.
