Hi,

I just built a new computer and I've been having problems. The computer posts fine, but I can get it to boot from either a usb drive a CD to install the OS. When I look at the BIOS I can see that they are being detected and I can select them in the boot options, but the boot always hangs. When I try the USB it hangs at verifying DMI pool data and when I try the CD it says Boot from CD/DVD and the courser flashes. I have no idea how to solve this, so any help is appreciated.

Hardware
Processor: AMD FX-6300
MB: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3
HD: WD Blue 1 TB WD10EZEX
RAM: G-Skillz Ripjaws X 2x4GB 1600

Let me know if you need any more information about the system

Solution
You might try resetting the BIOS. Doubt that's the problem, but may work. Unplug the PC and remove the CMOS battery for about a minute. Also, might try swapping SATA cables around.

I went through that guide before I posted this question. Do you have any other ideas? What do you think the problem might be? Everything is brand new except the optical drive, which is an old Samsung that I stole from another desktop.
