What is better for....
Gaming
Video editing
Price
On multiple monitors
I have a....
Amd 8350
Asus sabertooth 990fx r2.0
Corsair ax860I
16gb of patriot viper 3 black mamba ram (2x8gb)
Seagate 2tb cuda
Samsung 2th hdd.
So what is better???

Solution
Gaming - About equal
Video editing - 770 because of CUDA
Price - Depends where you are, but the MSRP of the 280x is better
On multiple monitors - 280x because of access to more VRAM

I assume you're looking for a recommendation? lol I would suggest the 280x if you can find a good price on one, but the 770 is just as good.

Please link a 280x that wins in cost/performance vs a 770. Because you can find 770s under 350 but I haven't seen a 280x under 400 in a while. I'm just saying don't recommend a card you can't buy for a competitive price

It's only the US where the 280x is overpriced right now. So you can't assume it's that price everywhere. Although, that is why I specified the msrp is better. When it first came out it was a great alternative. More VRAM, more memory bandwidth, about equal performance for $50 less.
