The power switch option to do nothing does nothing! My grandson can still turn it off. Is there a hardware related solution

If he holds it for 5 seconds it will always turn off, that isn't a feature you can disable. In windows you can change what it does normally, mine is set to do nothing, which just means that windows won't do anything when I hit it, if i hold it my motherboard will still process that and power off.
