Under All Programs, Accessories, I used to have Command.com. Now it is not there. Have I been hacked? I am having problems with a Lexmark Pro 905 Inkjet printer and in order to use it I must do the following: For Windows 7: Please go to Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Right-click the Command prompt. A pop-up window will appear and you can left-click Run as Administrator option.
B. The command prompt should appear. Please type net stop spooler and press Enter.
C. Please type net start spooler and press Enter. This should restart the spooler.
D. Close the window.
E. Restart the computer and reconnect the USB cable. If the printer is wireless, turn the printer on and check if the Wi-Fi light is green. Try to print again and verify if the documents are no longer pended in the queue.

Any suggestions would be very helpful. TIA

Have a look at task manager when it is running.
cmd.exe is the command prompt in Windows 7.
command.com is part of dos, it exists on Windows 95, 98 and ME.

The shortcut "Command Prompt" under accessories will run cmd.exe.
If this is missing for some reason, "Search programs and files" is an easy way to open the command prompt.
