Ever since I've had my HP Proliant N40L Microserver I've never been able to run 1080p or even 720p video files, and I know this is abnormal as the internet is littered with people saying this machine is perfectly capable of playing 1080p footage.
So this is long time coming but I've finally ruled out most of the hardware in the microserver. I've change the graphics card from a geforce 210 to a radeon 5450, changed the stock 2gb ram for 2x4gb sticks and performed a clean install twice and I am now finally at a dead end. I feel I've tried everything and have no other ideas what to do.
HP Proliant N40L
radeon 5450
2gb ram
Running 1920 x 1038, h264, hi10, fps: 13-9
Running 1280x544, h264, fps: 24-21
With 8gb of ram in it, it runs the 1920 file at around 20 fps but still stutters terribly.
If anyone could point me in the right direction over this one I would be very grateful.
Thanks a lot
Edit: Sorry I forgot to mention I am running the microserver as a htp with windows 7 installed
