I want to run my LG 720p TV as a monitor along with my AOC monitor. I want to do that with my GTX 670, and I've randomly gotten the LG to work on 1600x900 a couple of times with the AOC on the same res, but to have that happen has been kind of a stroke of luck. Today the TV doesn't even want to show up through my GPU at any resolution at all. It'll work with the Integrated graphics, but not with the GPU. Also, when I run it on the GPU, it shows up as Generic Non-PnP monitor instead of LG TV like it does on the integrated graphics. Can someone help me figure out this mess?
Your HDTV should take in a 1080p signal. You could also use a 720p signal. 1080p is slightly sharper (there's likely 768 lines, not 720 lines of resolution on your 720p HDTV).
If it's for GAMING, you might be better off using a 720p input (1280x720) as that will increase the frame rate.
Well there isn't a PC input, just TV, AV1, AV2, Digital, Component, HDMI1/DVI, and HDMI2 (it's plugged into HDMI 2 at the moment.) I'll try using HDMI1/DVI and see what results that yields, seeing as out of them all it seems like the most likely PC input.
