I want to decide my processor for the my next desktop and i'm not sure of which is the best for my use.

I'm doing a lot of video editing, photo editing, 3d modelling and 3d visualisation.

The three processor im currently watching for are the AMD FX 9370 (8 x 4,4 GHz / 8mb L3 Cache), AMD FX 9590 (8 x 4,7 GHz / 8mb L3 Cache) and Intel Core i7-4930K Six-Core 3.40 GHz 12MB Intel Smart Cache.

I will use those with :
VideoCard :

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4Gb DDR5 EVGA Superclocked,
RAM :

32Gb (8Gb x4) DDR3 2133MHz - GSkill RipJaws X

Motherboard :

ASUS Crosshair V Formula (with the AMD Processor)
ASUS P9X79 LE ATX (with the Intel Processor)

If you have any suggestion for my pc i'm open.

Thanks in advance

If you REEEEEEEALLY want to invest, you can spend about $900 now on a Xeon E5-2630v2 and a dual socket motherboard. You could get a 2nd 2630v2 later on for a true beast of a system.

With that budget the 4930K and have the extra cores (also just as a note :) the AMD CPUs wouldn't be able to run the DRAM you're looking at, for a 32GB rig maybe at 1866, but prob have to drop to 1600 w/ 32GB), and if going the X79, would flip the DRAM to the Ripjaws Z model, they are slightly more optimized for X79 and true quad channel - the X series of Ripjaws is oriented more to dual channel and the 1155/1150 mobos (comparitively speaking)

Interesting your proposing me the Xeon E5, since i posted something earlier asking what should i choose between a i7 4930K and a Xeon E5. But i dont think i have a dual socket motherboard, a GeForce GTX 770 4gb and all the other stuff like my chassis and the hard drive.

What do you mean you don't think you have a dual socket motherboard? What parts do you already have?

Oups, i meant dont have the budget for a dual socket motherboard. And my motherboard im still not sure if i'll go with the ASUS P9X79 LE or the ASRock X79 Extreme9.
I have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4Gb EVGA superclocked

Ok so what would be the cost for a dual socket motherboard that i could do SLI/CrossFire and having up to 64Gb of RAM plus the two 2630v2s ?

Take into account the cost of the components to properly run a server motherboard and CPU and the sheer noise your fans are going to produce in such a system. Are you planning on running multiple VM's on this system? 64GB of RAM is extreme overkill for anything but a virualization environment. Honestly unless you plan on running a virtualization infrastructure of sorts I would stick with the i7. I run a dual CPU Xeon virtualization lab server in my home and just at minimal usage it sounds like a taxiing turbo prop.

I do want to run multiple viewing monitor, actually having 2 but looking forward for a 3rd sooner than later. I'm doing virtualisation of theater with lighting beam and rendering them to video or images. i'm not currently going to a 64Gb or RAM im currently on a 32Gb but probly in a year or two i'll upgrade it to 64Gb.

Ok then yes if you are doing rendering and what not you would notice benefits of using a server class CPU and mobo. Sorry I didn't notice the point that you did allot of video editing and rendering! Just ensure you have some high RPM fans and decent heat sinks for those CPU's especially because you will be putting some significant load on them. In a standard tower case you will want to ensure you have good positive airflow into the case, in a rack mount situation you can get away with a smaller heat sink because there is such a high amount of air volume being pushed through such a small space.

The e5-2630v2s are roughly $600 each, but you don't have to buy two at first. You could buy the 2nd one later. Every dual socket 2011 will support sli/crossfire and 64GB of RAM. Most of them support quad sli/crossfire and 256GB of RAM. Here is one for $289 that also comes with a $15 gift card. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157352

The 2630v2s are only 80w each so they're not exactly power hogs. The 4930k is 130w by itself. You could get 2 Cooler Master 212s(or something similar) and add one fan in the middle for a push/pull/push configuration. It shouldn't be very loud.

My problem with that is i don"t know how to program all those stuff for it to work. I don't believe all this is plug and play to work ? Do you have any tips on how it works ? and how to program it ?
