If you have the money - purchase a new computer which would have newer and faster chipsets and cpus. Cheapest upgrade is to overclock your CPU for which you would need a good cpu cooler ($30). A SSD ($80) would make your computer feel quicker since the OS and programs would load quicker. If you like to game you would want a newer video card (>$100) and at least 4 gb of memory ($20-$50).
