Computer Frozen on BIOS Screen

Just over a year ago I built my own computer (it was my first one), and it currently has
Case: CoolerMaster CM 690 II Advanced NVIDIA Edition
CoolerMaster Extreme 2 625W
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3V Motherboard
OCZ Vertex 4 128gb SSD (which has windows installed on it, 'boot drive')
2 HDDS with games and videos installed
Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A 1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
Intel Core i5 3570K
LG CD Rom
TP-Link WiFi Adapter

Just this morning Avast! asked me to restart my computer to finish a scan, most the time I usually delay it, but because I wasn't using the computer I restarted it and walked away for 30mins. When I came back it was on a black screen with white writing (dos), saying that Avast! found something, but for some reason my keyboard (Razer BlackWidow, USB connection) could not select what to do, so I could only restart my computer. That's when the big issue started happening, I couldn't get past the BIOS screen.

At first I could get past it every 3rd or 5th time I restarted the computer, a few times I attempted safe mode, but it would ask my if I wanted to restore the computer to an earlier point, and my keyboard wouldnt work (even though my keyboard selected safe mode)
Then I would try to forego safe mode, and just start my computer, then the monitor would disconnect and my keyboard and mouse would light up, like as if I did get on but I couldnt see, so I'd restart the computer again.
I have been able to access one of my BIOS screens, where I went to the main information (where I'd set up my HDDs), but I guess that was luck.

I did some research on google, and found some people who fixed this same issue by taking out hardware, one at a time. So I would take out stuff like my RAM, then put it back before taking something else out. I finally got to my Graphics Card, and I was able to restart my computer, skip safe mode, I was even able to get to the desktop. I figured the Graphics Card was fried, but just to be safe I restarted my computer an hour after getting it on, and it went back to the same issue. I went through and tried taking out other hardware, such as CD Drive, WiFi adapter but still no hope.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Let me know if you need anymore info

Do you use backup software of any kind? Did you ever use the system restore option ( from safe mode ) ? Have you tried the Windows DVD "repair option"? Have you tried a CMOS clear or re-flashing the BIOS ( if you can use it! ) ?

Next time your keyboard freezes on you before boot unplug it and plug it into another port its happen to me before that's how I solved that I would say clear your cmos on the board its a 3 pin jumper be sure to unplug the computer and then clear your cmos be sure to put the pins back on correct before you turn your pc on.

Other than backing up on an external hdd, I dont use a software.
No I couldnt press 'okay' when I wanted to. I have used it in the past though (probably about 6 months)
No....does that come in the windows drive? I think I have that lying around somewhere...
I don't understand the last part I'm so sorry, but I can't select any of the BIOS keys, so I don't think I could try it now

Ahhh, I'll try that, but it won't help unless I can get past BIOS screen.

the case does have a ps/2 jack, I could see if I can borrow a keyboard, but I dont have one on me. Also wouldn't really be able to help unless I got back into safe mode again, since that's where the keyboard doesnt work

Okay this is the dumbest of dumb questions, but how would I go about doing a system restore without needing to get past the BIOS screen?

Lol that's so true we have all come to using usb keyboards guess its best to keep a ps/2 adapter around and im guilty of not having one myself .. So as others said you need a ps/2 keyboard if the usb one don't work IDK if clearing your bios or the cmos would help.

You would need a self-booting System Recovery disk that you made as a part of System Restore (do this in the future, you won't have this problem). You say you backed-up with an external HD. Are you using the Windows Back Up software? That is used along with System Restore to create, 1st a system image, and then weekly backups that are used with the system restore function.
Assuming this is not an option,
Find your W7 disk, put it in and it will ask you if you want to re-install or "Repair" your system. This will not restore to a specific date, but it will replace all significant system files for the OS. You may have to go to Windows Update afterwards and re-do many or some of the updates. Not hard, its pretty automated!

I think my priorities with your system are wrong! Your inability to use the BIOS is most important. I am not sure any repairing of the OS will fix this problem, simply because the BIOS should work without an OS!

I looked on page 20 of your manual and your MB does not have a 3 pin jumper, you just use a screwdriver and short the two pins. You CMOS clear is nearly at the center of you leftmost ( lower - installed ) PCI slot ( just to the outside of it - you should look at your manual ).
From your manual:
CLR_CMOS (Clear CMOS Jumper)
Use this jumper to clear the CMOS values (e.g. date information and BIOS configurations) and reset the
CMOS values to factory defaults. To clear the CMOS values, use a metal object like a screwdriver to touch
the two pins for a few seconds.

Your Manual:

Yeah, I tried the disk and it worked the first time (except my keyboard wouldnt work) so I restarted it and now its still stuck on BIOS
This information sounds really promising, but as Im fairly new to this, its my first computer and everything, and since the computer has 3 year warranty I might just send it in, since I could lose the warranty by messing up

Did u get the ps/2 keyboard? since ps/2 don't need any driver (AFAIK) unlike usb keyboard need HID driver...
If I'm guessed right somehow your driver is modified by the avast or the virus or damaged during recovery.....
