A couple of days ago I put in a new CPU heatsink. Coolmaster Evo 212. Once finished I tried booting up my desktop but no video. I took it off, re-seated the processor and tried again but still nothing. I took out the ram when putting in the new heatsink since I had to take the mobo out of the case, I removed everything. Ram was originally in slots 1-3 so that's where I put them back. Currently running in single channel (1-2). I have also tested each ram individually, both seem to run at the proper speed by themselves (booted with just one in at a time.) So the ram itself doesn't seem to be the issue. I also tried booting them in slots 2-4 but same thing, no video. Would of removing the processor changed some sort of setting I am not aware of, or would the 3-4 slots somehow been damaged during this?
I bought my computer have have been (very slowly) upgrading it. Wish I just built my own from the start.
Specs:
OS: Dual booting Ubuntu 13.10 and Windows 8.1 (Secure boot is off)
Mobo: IPMMB-FM (Formosa) Link to MOBO
Processor: i5-3570k
GPU: Zotac GTX 660ti
PS: Corsair GS 800 (Overkill I know)
RAM: Elpida 2x 4G DDR3 1600. Speed: PC3-12800 MB/sec
Nothing is overclocked, (I was planning on overclocking my CPU in till this happened)
Sorry if I have missed anything important, thanks for all of your time!
EDIT: Ram, Mobo, and CPU game with the computer.
