Can high/top tier gpu [780 Ti or Maxwell] run games @ high/ultra settings @ 1080p more than 60 fps for 3 years? If can't, so 144 hz is useless, so I can't decide: buy 60 Hz monitor or 144 Hz.

Solution
They'll run most everything out there at Max settings, Give or take AA Levels/Modes, at 1080p just fine above 60FPS.

The problem with this question is we dont know how much Grahpics Technologies are going to advance in the next 3 Years.

If your bored, go see how a GTX 580/590 is performing in modern games, Those Cards are 3 Years old.

144Hz vs. 60Hz is more about feeling then visuals. imo
These cards can run many games at more than 60 FPS.
The human eye can't tell the difference though above 60 FPS.
The main advantage of the high refresh rate monitors are for 3D, where each eye only sees every second frame (hence you need 120Hz to see 60FPS).
If you are not planning on running 3D games, there is no reason to buy the 144Hz monitor.
