Dear, I've also asked the similar question to find out suitable air cooler with same RAM and CPU. Most of the replies have recommend to use water based cooling solution which I'm reluctant to use.

unless you are planning on a heavy overclock, grab yourself a coolermaster hyper 212 evo. they are far cheaper than the NH-D14 and give around 85-90% of their performance, plus if you need to shift the fan around for your RAM, it's nice and easy!

Noctua NH-D14 is one of the best air coolers on the market, be it, it's not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it will provide excellent cooling on par with some of the entry level water-coolers. Whether it's compatible with dominator platinum's, would depend on your motherboard and your case. If you feel uneasy about this, you can find some entry level water-coolers in the same price range.

And what about in my case: I've Maxiumus VI, CM Storm Scout II (Soon will be switching to full tower) and Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB KIT
