My computer no longer reads my Iomega drive 2.0 as that and wants to call it by another name and asks for a driver for it. I'm afraid it wants to reformat it and I'll lose all my files. I've tried to plug it in 3 different computers and they all say the same thing. Is it possible to recover all the files or transfer them somehow? I think I maxed out the storage which might have made this happen. Help!

A drive needs to be working properly in order to retrieve files from it, since the file recovery software won't be able to read the drive if Windows can't. External hard drives fail more easily than internal drives. You should test it with SeaTools:

It is not wise to save important files on just one hard drive. You need to maintain a backup on a separate drive at all times. Then you wouldn't be having to worry about losing the data.
