Dear board, trying to figure out rather simple question.

I am running two videocards in Crossfire mode 16-4
1 - ATI Radeon 4850 1Gb DDR3
2 - ATI Radeon 4850 512Mb DDR3

I have an opportunity to get one GeForce GTX 550Ti 1Gb DDR5 almost for nothing.

Unfortunately I am running the system on Gigabyte Z87-D3HP which is not supporting SLI, but only Crossfire, upgrading to duo GTX is not an option, just a good deal from my friend for 550 :)

Should I change to increase the productivity, say in games, like Planetside2?

the 550 card will be faster and run cooler then the two cards. also the newer 550 will do newer version of directx. your best bet is to sell all the cards and pick up a newer 7770 or 650 ti card or faster when you can afford it. your always better off using on fast card over sli or crossfire if you can help it.

The thing is that two radeons i am running now ere simply given to me by my other friends, so I will just give them back to the owner if going to install 550.

Regarding 550 he is going to give me free of charge.

P.S. Two radeons are running on upgraded coller systems from coolermaster so they are quiet and cool, yesterday I auto-tuned them up to max and today will test them out to see the improvement.

I have no guarantee that crossfired radeons tuned to max will be beaten by 550, so I think I will simply take 550 and test by swapping the graphics and running apps again :)

also, the friend who offered me 550 reply to my call for buying a 7770, so I am looking onto right things :)
