Hi everyone.

I have a problem. I will try to keep it short. But want to give you the full picture.

On my birthday, the 15th, I installed a 4gb ram dimm with a custom cooler. It had been damaged but it seemed to work for 2 days. When it started to crash my pc I removed the dimm. (This was when I realized it was broken) Anyhow...
The pc just crashed. But it did boot up after that.
While I had my pc more or less dismantled I decided to vacuum my H60 rad.

When I then mounted it again and started the PC my H60 pump started to make alot of noise, and it has always been totally silent. Plus, the pc did not boot. First time it crashed when windows was loading. Second time right after post. Third time it did not even come that far.

I borrowed an old Phenom cpu and a stock cooler. Sadly the cpu did not fit. I thought at that time the AMD platform was fully backwards compatible. Learned otherwise. So I just mounted the stock cooler and the PC booted up.

2 days later I started the pump with a power outlet from the PSU instead of a fan header on the motherboard. Took 20 seconds to get it quiet again. Had gotten a lot of air in the pump. So this time I was careful to mount it so that this could not happen again. And finally, I thought, the PC is back to normal.

BUT. Now I cant OC the cpu one bit and I had an 4.7GHz clock before all this, temps never went past the 60c mark. Usually around 50-55 in gaming. Although I can oc my ram. With the bios reset it seemed to be just fine. Until today when I woke up to find the cpu trying to boot over and over. Like it was stuck in sleep mode and could not wake up. Took me like 20 min just to make it boot up. Dont know if it was a cooling period or if my change from the fan header I was using to direct power from PSU that made it work yet again.

Im wondering. Is this the tell tale signs of a broken MB or do you think it is my CPU? I have tried to test different ram when it was acting up without success and if I can OC them to 1866mhz (9-10-9-27) does it not more or less say that the cpu (or at least NB) is ok. This morning when it started to act up again I could not even get it to post. The beep is always there though.

Oh well. Short, yeah right! =D

What do you think?
