Connect a windows 7 "domain" computer to a home workgroup

Comment has been put:
Change the workgroup name to match the domain name, or, just use IP addresses instead of names to connect.
this is OK BUT if I change the domin, it needs an admin password to connect back, which I don't hav

  1. If you don't have a admin password then ask your tech support to do this.
  2. A domain user can put a computer(up to 10) on the domain. You can use your domain(domain user) credentials to add your machine to the domain.

Only if the domain user was granted permissions to add users to the domain

No. Domain users by default have the permission to add (10) computers to the domain.
