my PC shuts down while gameing.
no massage after reboot, only windows asks if to start normally or in safe mode.
PSU must be turned OFF and after 10 sec. back ON to reboot.

I would like to know how to fix it, if there's any tests I should run.

any information I should give here ?, or settings known to be problematic( like 140Hz screen refresh rate in catalyst and in game settings of battlefield 4 = blue screen),
all parts are new, all drivers are up to date, windows is original.

I have MSI afterburner installed, I thought it's a high Temp. problem, so I set the fans to work harder.
it didn't make the problem go away but it can take longer now until shut down.
normally the PC shuts down when I'm in game but in spawn screen and not active for few seconds, having a few seconds break.
I play the game on ultra settings.
when I play the game on low settings the PC does not shuts down.
refresh rate on 120 Hz, in game and on the driver Software.

nothing is OC but the fans.
bios on default.

hi.
thanks for answering.
my MOBO comes with a software (AI Suite 2)
It has a temp monitoring application,
it shows the Temp. in PCIE1 ( GPU) can rise up to 62,
normally short after that I'll get the shutdown.
that's also why I tried the MSI Afterburner...

here's some more info...
when I shut the PC down (start menu). I get noise from my speakers.
sometimes while gaming the game half freezes( I can only walk, the mouse doesn't response) and then the audio (headset or speakers) beeping, I have to force reboot with the restart button to get out of it.

This could be a "heat related hardware failure" - meaning as the temperature rises in the computer, a component is failing. The temperature of that device could be within tolerance to avoid a shutdown because of the temperature, but the hardware is failing because of the elevated temperature.

I would suggest removing the GPU and testing the system with Prime95 (http://www.overclock.net/t/137251/prime95). If it fails during the stress tests without the GPU - it is your mobo. If it runs for 24 hours or longer, put the GPU back in, and re-run the tests. If it fails then, it would be the GPU.

good morning
that's a great idea!
I'll have to get a different GPU to make this test, the GPU I have on the system is the only one I got.
I'll have to buy one, could you please direct me to a class / type / price that could be right for this test ?

Hi
I want to thank everyone who helped,
I got it solved, apparently it was a heat related problem, also a hardware related, but the mobo and the GPU are fine.
I changed the H80i fans from intake to outtake, relocated one fan from the top of the case to the side, now there are 2 side-fans blowing in directly on the GPU.
Now I can run battlefield 4 on ultra, on large maps with 64 players too and the PCIe-1(the GPU slot) stays under 55 degrees.
I tried this after reading that this MOBO- sabertooth 990fx r2.0 has heating issues with the PCIe-1.
