nvidia vs amd image quality

i hear this strange thing that if you get amd or nvidia card you get kinda diferent image quality sharper picture collors and stuff like that is that true or just a myth

what graphics card do u use it could be because nvidia driver update bud amd is coming out with new drivers as well i think

I saw much smoother and more fluid gameplay, especially in Path of Exile which is not really hard on the gpu, though it could be the fact that I went from a 7950 to a 780 so its just the raw performance difference. But I swear it just seems a lot less jittery

Can't say anything for now,because tech might has been improved pretty much, but they were different! At least, that was true visually, and something visible was something right?
When I changed from Nvidia 7600GT to ATI X1950pro, the difference was visually obvious! The color became vivid in Prince of Persia warrior within(In the scene of the Time Portal), on the same Monitor. And the edges produced by 1950pro were more clear and sharp, and I don't really believe that had much to do with the catalyst config(I am a person messing with the catalyst or driver config very much). Something that you were born with will in some cases be with you till death.

Talking without math is sometimes meaningless. here is method that could be more reasonable and logical. More precise result might be give by Calculating the Structure similarity index(SSIM). This index has been proven to be more consistent with Human visual system (HVS). However, to do the math, one first need an image as "axiom", and Let A and N reconstruct the same image respectively. Matlab 2014a can do the math by calling the function, ssim(x,y), Where x can be set as the axiom acquired by some expensive camera,etc. and y can be re placed by the images re-generated by A or N.

AMD cards produce much better colors. I was using gtx 770 before and Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag looked really washed out for some reason. At first I thought its the game itself, but after switching to R9 290x, I finally realized the problem was with the Nvidia card. Titan Fall and Far Cry 3 also looked much better now. Not in terms of the frame rate because 770 is a very strong card after all, but the color difference in the images produced are quite significant.
