I have PC2-4200 533 MHz SO-DIMM DDR2 on my toshiba Satellite L25-S1216 laptop but the toshiba's site is making me buy pc2-5300 667 mhz dddr2. Will 667 MHz work ?
How can I find out what my MoBo supports ?
If you buy RAM that is too fast for the motherboard, it will just run at the lower speed.
It won't damage any components, you just won't get the RAMs full potential.

Why are you upgrading, is the current RAM broken or faulty. It's not really a massive upgrade and to be honest its a pretty old laptop so if its broken i would recommend getting a new laptop.
