This may seem strange, I was using 3dMark11 (Performance) to OC my ASUS780 GTX. Happy with the result as i managed to get the card to boost to 1175Hz, and the memory up to 6550MHz.

The 5th test done is the CPU test, i have i5-3570k, now at standard it only measures up to 22 FPS, when i OC the chip to 4.3Ghz, the frame rate drops to 20FPS??

Can anyone explain this? It is running hotter, but not dangerously hot?

3dmark scores are not always accurate. They are not necessarily a true example of your PC's capabilities. I would recommend for CPU stress testing:
Prime95: http://www.mersenne.org/freesoft/
and for GPU stress, you can use the
Heaven Benchmark: http://unigine.com/products/heaven/

Both are free pieces of software. Personally, 3dmark scores mean nothing, it is your PC's ability to perform in real world scenarios.
