Hello
Ill be pairing either one of those with a gtx 760 and 8 gb vengeance ram.
Ill mainly use it for gaming and do not plan to overclock it. Ill play games like cod ghosts and bf3 at ultra. The price difference bw those is a mere $ . Yes only 1 $ price difference. Should i go for the 4rth gen or the 3rd gen? I had almost decided to buy the 3570k but suddenly came across the Haswell....

Personally i went with the Haswell but the difference isn't that great, but if you don't plan on overclocking then don't get the unlocked version of the processor and save yourself some money.

I would have gone with 4th gen.
The difference isnt much performance wise.
But with 4th gen the main attraction is their compatible mobo.
They have much more features than that of 3 gen mobos.
6 sata 3 ports with 6gb /s.
And many other interesting features.

Not sure why you are paying the extra money for the K version if you dont plan to overclock, but these chips are really close. You might as well go for the 4670K if the price is the same. Just make sure your motherboard is slot 1150 (haswell) not 1155 as the 1155 is for the 3570 or sandy bridge and ivy bridge chips.

Well there is again negligible price diff bw the k and non k versions and in the futurw i might have to overclock to keep up with the then released games.

fair enough, but like varun said..more features with the 1150 MOBO's. I would also go for the haswell chip.

Can i achieve 60 + frames in Bf4 at ultra in 768p? And pls suggest me a cheap motherboard within say 100 - 120$ ... And how does the fx 8350 stack with the i5?

60+ frames continuous is not possible for any gpu.
Ya but at that resolution you will manage to reach 60 fps.
I5 is better than 8350 in terms of per core performance though fx has more cores.
For mobo go with asrock z87 killer.
Its the best out there in terms of money and performance.

As the 2 processors are around the same price I would go with haswell, as you would be looking at 5-7% performance increase and get some nice features as well.

If you do not overclock then no need for a aftermarket cooler.
Stock cooler would serve you well
