intel i7 4770k
Nvidia 780 Ti
Corsair Dominator Platinum Ram 16 gigs 2 sticks
Asus z87 Sabertooth mother board
Corsair AX860 PSU
Western digital 1TB black hard drive
Sound blaster Z sound card

This is going to be a long post lol sorry guys

i got a custom built computer for christmas did not have enough money to get ssd's with my computer

so i decided to buy some ssd's i bought 2 samsung evo 128 to do a raid 0 on them
i did the ahci to raid and the utility rom (control + i) thing in bios left one power chord from my psu out from my Western digital black hard drive downloaded the drivers from asus website loaded them up before windows 8.1 installed
of course! get blue screen errors

most of them where kernal errors probably around 4-7 every time i hit enter threw the blue screen errors its still let me boot to windows

once i got into windows installed the intel raid software and it showed me one of my SSD drives failed so i decided to restart the computer

and when the computer was booting the utility rom showed that my first ssd drive that a error occured
so i decided to go back into the raid utility rom wipe everything clean delete the raid and try to install on one SSD

went back into bios switched to AHCI installed windows 8.1 on only 1 ssd of course blue screen errors again kept pressing enter it let me get into windows 8.1 and the strange part was in Device manager nothing was there i updated all the windows drivers and restarted but still nothing
my sound card, graphics card, pretty much nothing

so i returned the SSD's decided to go with the Samsung 840 pros instead
and try again, they had none in stock so im waiting for them to come back in stock so i can try this again

so while i returned the drives i thought of something i did not do in the bios
i did not turn off the XMP for my ram to install windows
could that be the problem or is it something completely different?

im completely new to all this with building computers
i've installed windows before and everything usually goes fine
Thanks for any help guys!

Try Hirens Boot CD -> Memtest 86

This is recommended for new build !
If you pass then you RAM is not suspected bud SSD`s are :)

Try to load the BIOS defaults
Use AHCI mode
Make test Win Setup
Change the SSD connection port - some of the mobos have Marvell SATA ports that are different driver than Intel Chipsett Storage Controller
Did the WIn setup asked you to browse for storage driver upon the setup steps ?
Try also setting the SATA mode to Compatible - just ti test can you setup at all .......

-Bad idea running RAID on SSD. You can do it but the potential technical issues really add up fast and I would not recommend it.

- do yourself a favor and make a memtest86 boot disk and test your system.

your original problem with the windows install could be due to corruption of the windows images during the copy process.
you would need to verify that the copy was made correctly using the system file checker command
(run cmd.exe as a admin, then run SFC.exe /scannow)
(run chkdsk to make sure the filesystem was not corrupted when you change the SATA modes also)

incorrect RAM settings can also cause file corruption. (best to boot memtest86 and make sure the memory systems work before installing the OS)

yeah i decided not to raid anymore sense it would probably be more of a hassle with more windows issues
so i am just going to get a 256 samsung 840 pro

Yep
You use this tool to make boot USB from the Hirens ISO :
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/yumi-multiboot-usb-creator/

Boot you PC from USB and then the Memtest 86 test
Hirens is for all tools in one ISO
- you can have SSD / HDD test also - MHDD 4.6 ( but some mobos need to have specific Sata Mode selected )
- you can have Life Win PE boot also
- some other tools you can use to test you PC

Well got the new SSD
got a Samsung 840 Pro everything installed fine
just the Evo's where bad SSD's guess that's why they are 88 dollars
i also turned off XMP before installing them.
