So I just had to reset the CMOS to get my PC to power on.
The only problem is that the CMOS is UNDER my GPU so I cannot reset the CMOS with my graphics card in.

When i plug my HDMI cable (I dont have DVI and it does not accept VGA) into it there is no display - I only get display on my second monitor that is connected to the onboard gpu via VGA.

I tried not having the VGA plugged in, and then my PC doesn't boot. Then I have to take out my R9 280X reset cmos and same thing happens.

The power cables are connected and the fans are spinning on it, it seems to all be in!

What could be the problemo?

Thanks in advance,
Jake

Do a driver reinstall. Control panel->uninstall a program and uninstall anything amd or ati->restart->go to amd website and get latest drivers.

He wont be able to reinstall the drivers because you need to have the GPU in and the computer wont recognise the GPU, Good Idea but not quite suitable in this case

One of my 6 pin power connectors wasnt connected up properly, so I reconnected it and it came on!
I feel like such an idiot haha, if anyone has the same problem - dont jump to the conclusion of a broken card or a dodgy monitor!
Check your connections!

You can still get a display out of a GPU without the drivers installed. How do you think people with a cpu that does not have integrated graphics first install their drivers when they build a computer? I've done it multiple times. The display comes up at maybe 480p or so.
