Building my first pc. Just wondering which power supply is better?

Corsair CX 500W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Or Evga 500W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Thanks all!

Any difference will be negligible. I'd choose the corsair just because they are one of the top power supply manufacturers, but both will work just fine.

In this case it will be up to which is cheaper. Which one you like better. You will see no diff in performance.

Are they both equal in the fact that they both have the correct amount of connections?

They are both 500W, both 80+ Bronze rated and are both non modular, therefore exactly the same.

The correct amount of connections for what? We can't tell you if it has the correct amount of connections without knowing the complete system specs.

Don't go with CX series of Corsair, budget oriented PSU's, not good enough in stressful situations, mixed caps with Taiwanese and Chinese rated @ 30/40C.

Go with the EVGA one or you can get this, solid as a rock.

Just making sure the Evga will have all the connections I'll need.

Thanks for the input everyone. Much appreciated.

Yes that has all the connectors you need, but that's not a decent PSU.

1. EVGA SuperNova G2 1000W and 1300W TIER 1

2. EVGA SuperNova NEX B 500 TIER 3
EVGA SuperNova NEX G 750
EVGA SuperNova NEX 1500 Classified

Rest of the models are just crap, your model originally is a 480W PSU not 500W.

Go with the one I suggested above.

Any better options in the 45$ price range? I'm on a bit of a budget :(

Get the EVGA over the Corsair , it's a solid unit.
