What kind of cable is used for hooking up a graphics card to a motherboard?

I'm asking this because I really want to buy some BitFenix Alchemy cables for my 780, but I'm not sure what the cable is actually called. Could you tell me?

You don't connect a graphics card to a motherboard with a cable, you use a PCI slot. If you want your power cables connected to your GPU a different colour, you can buy sleeving or pay someone to sleeve your cables for you. Hope this helps!

Why would you want a different cable though? The one you plug in for your power supply is fine.

There is no cable required to hookup a gpu to a mobo.
The card is slotted to the mobo and additional power is provided by pci-e leads from your power supply.

Yes. Other devices can be plugged into PCI-E slots, like nice sound/wireless cards but most of the time you will see graphics cards in there.
