When i turn my pc on it runs for 2 seconds then turns itself off (no beeps or anything).
So i decided to clear the cmos by using the jumper (pin 2&3) and finally! The pc boots, everything seems to be fine apart from the cmos checksum error (im guessing thats because the its on pin 2&3 rather than 1&2). I go ahead and press F2 to load defaults and continue and windows boots up like normal. When i shut down the pc and put the jumper back to switches 1&2 it goes back to square 1 and turns itself off after 2 seconds.

Can anyone shed some light on whats going on?

MSI GF615M-P33 is the model of my motherboard. Before this my graphics card was giving me the "no video input" treatment and i read online that clearing the cmos (taking the battery out, putting it on its back then putting it back in) would sort it. But yeah it didnt.

Also after i shut down the pc when the jumper is on pins 2&3 it wont boot back up afterwards
