Hey, so, I'm an absolute noob to this stuff, however, I've done my research, I've shopped around and after a few weeks I've settled on the parts I'd be happy with and that are within my budget. I've never built a PC before so I'm especially cautious of this.
I used PCPartPicker just to reassure myself that my parts were compatible. It told me there was a compatibility issue between my CPU and my motherboard, the parts in question are:
AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor and Asus M5A97 R2.0 AMD 970. It says "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs."

Like I said, complete noob at this stuff, I've a good understanding of hardware, but the software goes a bit over my head. I just want to know plain and simple, does this compatability issue apply to the parts I'm choosing, or will I have to do a manual update, and if so, how I would I do it?

Also, I hope this is in the correct category, apologies if it's not.

To use that CPU you will probably need to update the BIOS. With that board you can update the BIOS without CPU. Look at THIS. You will need to download the latest BIOS, put it on a USB drive and follow the instructions on manual of motherboard for USB BIOS Flashback.

Is there maybe another motherboard compatible with this, one that wouldn't require the BIOS Flashback to be carried out? I don't mind doing it, but again, not great with software and it being my first build I'd like to avoid anything that I might screw up.

Sorry for the late reply.
I'm buying from a site called Scan.co.uk, I live in Ireland so my choices in sites is pretty limited. I don't mind buying from Amazon though.
