Im building a computer for the office.

Programs:
Microsoft Office
Quickbooks

just the usual office software.
no photoshop or graphics software.

I want to go with the i7 4930k, I would run an SSD and HHD

the gpu can be low grade and doesn't need much ram the max i would use would be 8gb.

and suggestions for motherboard or recommend a different setup

This computer may turn into a server to run multiple computers in the future.

There's no way you'll need an i7 4930k, that's super high-end.

If it's turning into a server in the future I'd recommend a Xeon 1230v3 (LGA1150 socket), which is essentially equal to an i7 3770. You can do any kind of office work on just about any system pretty comfortably, and the Xeon won't get outdated any time soon and it's designed to be a server CPU but it fits in a desktop motherboard and functions just like any other i7. I'd put it in a B or H series motherboard, both very affordable.

Anything would do for a GPU, just get a cheap one.

You don't even need a dedicated GPU really. This would be my pick for an office PC with a future life as a server. I chose a better board than I normally would for the CPU due to having better Raid support that you may want in the future. If you do not plan on Raid or that many drives being in the system, can easily go to a less expensive board.

I have to say I am not fond of the PSU, HDD, or case. HD 7770 is overkill for an office rig. This would be a better quality build and suitable for office work and future as a server.
