Guys I'm looking to sell my gaming desktop and have no clue where to start to find price of it now, I'm very much out of the loop.

Ok so here's what I got.

Case: Rosewill Challenger (With 5 x 120mm Fans)
Motherboard: Asus M4A79XTD EVO <Green>
Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 3.2GHz, 3.6 GHz Turbo Core (9 MB Total Cashe)
Graphics Card: 2 x HIS 2GB GDDR5 Radeon HD 6950 (PCIe 2.1)(1080p Full HD)(HDMI 1.4)
Power Supply: Rosewill Bronze Series RBR 1000-M (Continuous 1000W@40 Celsius)
ASUS DVD RW
RAM: GSKILL DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 2 x 2048MB
Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit
Western Digital HD 2TB WD20EARS

I think that's about it. Bought everything new in Jan 2011 (Newegg). I literally have every single box every part came in.

It cost me right at $1500.00 in 2011

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Generaly a computer is worth 1/2 it's value soon after you by it.
A year later, it is worth $100.

A gaming rig like yours should fare a little better, but not much as a unit.
You would do better by parting it out, on something like Craigs list, or one of the forum that has a buy sell sight.

@millwright... that isnt not exactly true. if i bought a pc for $2000 today that doesnt mean its worth $1000 on the market tomorrow. thats just ludacris.

@op... for every 6 months of age subtract 10-15% original value. (what you paid for it) and thats a good starting position. since you bought it in 2011 it would be about 3 years old so it would be about -60% (or more!) value at best (or 40% or less of its total) which would be about $600 at best and perhaps about $400 at worst.

You might get it if you find the right person, I'd say the is a good price.
The trouble is finding someone.

Sorry, but I literally just bough a new Haswell and associated parts for a new rig.
Got it from New Egg also.
Replacing an 11 year old rig, what a shock, and I don't even have a new video card yet.

no you said soon and technically tomorrow is soon :)
dont be so vague as its not really all that helpful.

yes, i do agree $400 isnt a bad price but depending on area it could be as much as $600.

since you've been selling it for so long you should realize that prices are not definite. it can vary widely depending on many factors. also you should know that these are baseline numbers to start the listing at. if he gets no hits he can always start knocking off money. its always better to start a little high than too low.

in any case there isnt any need to argue the point. to do so is pointless.
